Insulating your home is vital for energy efficiency and for keeping your home cool in the summer and warm in the winter, but it is also one of the most important steps you can take in your efforts to “go green.” Not only do our insulation products reduce your carbon footprint by limiting your energy consumption, but they also improve the comfort inside your home and help you minimize moisture that may allow mold and mildew spores to flourish in unseen corners and crevices.

At Sutton Energy Solutions, we understand the dilemma homeowners face when it comes to choosing and upgrading insulation. There are many choices on the market today, and it isn’t always easy to know which one offers the best return on your investment.

It is also crucial to take the environmental impact of your insulation choices into account. If your goal is to reduce your carbon footprint and your energy bills while offering your family optimum comfort levels all year round, we can help.

Reducing Radiant Heat Loss and Gain with Insulation Technology

Traditional insulation does little to address the problem of radiant heat loss and gain throughout the seasons, focusing on conductive heat flow instead. Our new insulation technology now offers homeowners options that address the need for infrared blocking as well.

Traditional insulation products allow up to 93 percent of heat gained in your home during the summer to flow inside while also allowing between 50 and 75 percent of heat loss during winter months. However, reflective insulation serves to reflect heat away from your home during the summer and keep it inside during the winter months, allowing for only three percent of radiant energy to pass through, no matter the season.

Trust Sutton Energy Solutions for all Your Insulation Needs

With 20 years of experience providing energy efficient upgrades to homes throughout South Carolina, we are committed to offering products that reduce energy costs and efficiency concerns without exposing your family to the potentially toxic materials that typically accompany traditional insulation products.

We seek innovative products and materials to help you reduce your carbon footprint while making your home a more comfortable place for you and your family. Our products are designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA with the highest quality materials, innovative technology and your energy needs in mind.

We believe radiant barriers and effective energy insulation are the secret to saving money and the planet – one home at a time. It is our mission to bring our technology-driven solutions to as many homes in the Midlands as possible. Contact us today to bring new energy saving solutions to your home.

Faqs

A: Our reflective insulation uses aluminum to control your home’s temperature more efficiently. In addition to keeping your home comfortable and lowering energy costs, our insulation does not promote mold or mildew, is resistant to birds, insects and rodents and is non-toxic and hypoallergenic to keep your family safe. Our insulation comes with a 20 year unlimited warranty as well.

A: “E” stands for emissivity, which means the ability to give off radiant heat to a cooler surface. This means the lower the “e” rating, the lower amount of radiant heat the surface will give off to a cooler surface. This means that you want insulation with a low-e rating to keep your living area feel comfortable.

A: R-Value is the capacity of the material to resist conductive heat flow. The higher R-Value on insulation material, the more effective it is.

A: Infrared blocking is also known as reflective insulation and uses aluminum to regulate the inside temperature. This technology is commonly used to for thermos bottles, but can also be used to regulate your home temperature as well.

A: Many people think insulation is only needed in areas that they occupy. However, it is just as important to insulate other areas as well, such as the attic and basement. Insulating these areas will regulate your homes temperature, reduce unneeded energy consumption and help control condensation. All of these benefits will result in the ultimate goal of saving you money in energy costs.

A: A common misconception is that insulation is only useful in the winter and will make your house too hot during the summer. However, proper insulation in the summer can keep warm air outside your household making it effective year round.

I have had reflective insulation for nearly two years and I am still satisfied with the performance of the product and the work of the good performance. Kim Sutton and the Sutton Energy Solution's teams work ethic, management techniques and organizational leadership was apparent and clearly demonstrated by their work crew's performance. I highly recommend their services.
